Career white collar wizard who worked myself into unhappiness. The years of office politics, toxic bosses, and lack of self expression spiraled me into a place where I just couldn't see my way out. Depressed, unhealthy and miserable I knew there had to be a better way. I needed to heal my inner child from childhood trauma after a recent diagnosis of ADHD and Autism. Building my self worth and self confidence from scratch was/is required.
My journey is mental and physical. I took my savings and bought a small fixer-upper house in my home state of Iowa. I have been spending years trying to be mentally more healthy and the journey continues. The next step is to tackle my physical health which, at the ripe age of 50, is the worst it has ever been. I want the second half of my life to be the best.
Why the heck would you choose the name Fallout Siren? Fallout Siren was my roller derby name. I felt the closest to knowing who I was when I played roller derby. Maybe it was the anonymity of the derby persona, or maybe it was the enjoyable physical activity. I'm not sure, but I can't wait to find out.
